My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Age: 1 year old
Breed: Angora
Weight: 2kg / 4.4lbs

Meet Gwendolyn, a beautiful Angora rabbit with a fluffy coat and a gentle, shy personality. Like most Angoras, Gwendolyn requires regular grooming to keep her luxurious fur healthy, so her adopter should be prepared for routine brushing sessions. Though she's easy to handle, she's still working on building her confidence around people, so we're looking for an experienced rabbit adopter who understands her needs and can provide a calm environment for her to thrive.

Gwendolyn loves to stretch her legs, so a free-roam or large pen setup is essential, along with a fully bunny-proofed home to keep her safe while she explores. Her ideal adopter will ensure she has plenty of space and enrichment to support her mental and physical well-being. Her diet should include fresh hay, leafy greens, and high-quality rabbit pellets. With patience, love, and the right care, Gwendolyn will continue to come out of her shell and let her playful, confident side shine!

More about this shelter

CONNECTING LIVES SINCE 1922

From our earliest beginning, Calgary Humane Society was more than a shelter. As Calgary’s first-established animal welfare organization, connecting the lives of animals and people while providing essential animal services to the community remains our central priority.

Today, Calgary Humane Society (CHS) shelters almost 5,000 homeless animals each year. In 1922 we set out to help as many animals as we can and we will continue to do so by fostering the values of respect, compassion, commitment, teamwork, integrity and innovation.

Our mission is to help as many animals as we can.

Our vision is using innovative strategies to lead, inspire, and educate in the humane treatment of companion animals, fostering an enlightened community that consistently demonstrates respect and compassion for all animals.

Our dream is a community where animals are valued, humanely treated, and live enriched lives.

Calgary Humane Society is committed to creating a better tomorrow through education and collaboration.
