Meet Stratus, a kitten with a heart as big as her boundless energy. Her days are filled with playful antics, chasing after invisible foes and turning ordinary objects into exciting toys. She is a sweet soul, her affectionate nature evident in her gentle purrs and soft nuzzles. Stratus is a lively spirit, her vivacious personality bringing joy to all who meet her. She loves to explore, her curiosity only matched by her love for cuddles. Despite her playful nature, Stratus also enjoys quiet moments, often found snoozing in the sunniest spot she can find. Adopt Stratus and bring home a bundle of love and joy, a companion who will fill your days with laughter and your nights with warmth.

The Stone County SPCA was organized in 2009 and opened a shelter in 2012 in Wiggins, MS. We have always been a no kill shelter. Our biggest challenge is the high demand to place dogs and cats in our shelter. Currently, we take in approximately 1200 animals annually. We do not euthanize animals for lack of space. We have a live release rate of 95%. We do this by keeping adoption fees low and transporting a large percentage of our animals (65% of our dogs and puppies).
