Meet Roman, a kitten who is full of life and ready to share it with you. His days are filled with playful antics, chasing after toys and exploring every nook and cranny. Roman's friendly nature shines through in his interactions with everyone he meets. He's quick to purr and rub against your hand, a sure sign of his affectionate personality. Despite his youthful energy, Roman also enjoys quiet moments, curling up for a nap or simply watching the world go by. Roman is more than just a kitten; he's a companion, a friend, a confidante. He's the kind of pet who will make your house feel like a home. Adopt Roman and you won't just be gaining a pet, you'll be gaining a family member who will bring joy, laughter, and companionship into your life.

The Stone County SPCA was organized in 2009 and opened a shelter in 2012 in Wiggins, MS. We have always been a no kill shelter. Our biggest challenge is the high demand to place dogs and cats in our shelter. Currently, we take in approximately 1200 animals annually. We do not euthanize animals for lack of space. We have a live release rate of 95%. We do this by keeping adoption fees low and transporting a large percentage of our animals (65% of our dogs and puppies).
