My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Belair, a charming feline who calls the shelter her temporary home. She exudes a sweet and gentle aura that brings a sense of calm to those around her. She's not just a cat, but a companion who loves to share quiet moments and gentle strokes. Her love for humans is evident in her gentle purrs and soft nudges. With her around, every day is a delight. She's an adult cat, wise beyond her years, and has a heart full of love to give. Belair is looking for a forever home where she can share her love and warmth. Adopting Belair means inviting a bundle of joy and love into your life. She's ready to be a part of your family, are you ready for her?

More about this shelter

The Stone County SPCA was organized in 2009 and opened a shelter in 2012 in Wiggins, MS. We have always been a no kill shelter. Our biggest challenge is the high demand to place dogs and cats in our shelter. Currently, we take in approximately 1200 animals annually. We do not euthanize animals for lack of space. We have a live release rate of 95%. We do this by keeping adoption fees low and transporting a large percentage of our animals (65% of our dogs and puppies).
