Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Dante is a one-year-old, 48-pound, friendly, energetic and playful, red and white male Siberian Husky pup with one blue eye and one brown eye looking for a loving guardian.
Dante is wonderfully playful with other friendly dogs. He does beautifully at doggie daycare and loves meeting dogs on our walks.
He is also great with people of all ages. He’s lived with children as young as six in his previous home. He does jump up on people in an overly friendly manner at times, so he will benefit from additional training. He is housebroken, crate-trained, and sits on command – anything for a treat!
Dante has a strong prey drive and will hunt for bunnies, squirrels and birds on his walks. He loves carrying a squeaky toy on our walks which keeps his focus. He has a lot of energy, so he’d make an excellent walking/running/hiking buddy. He also loves to play fetch, and sometimes he even brings back the ball.
Huskies are known escape artists, so walks on leash, or playing in a securely fenced in yard is a must.
He is extremely healthy, neutered, vaccinated for rabies and distemper, bordetella and leptospirosis, microchipped, heartworm-tested and on monthly preventative.
His adoption fee of $275 benefits the Friends of Petraits Rescue.
To meet and possibly adopt Dante, please fill out an adoption application at https://friendsofpetraits.com/dog-adoption-application/ and follow up to meet him by e-mailing friendsofpetraits@gmail.com
He is being fostered in Chicago’s Andersonville neighborhood.
