My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Named after the famous Edgar Allan Poe, this 8-month-old Pitbull mix may not write poetry, but he’s sure to steal your heart with his sweet, affectionate nature and silly antics. Just like his namesake, Poe has a sharp mind—he already knows his `sits` and is eager to learn more in his forever home.

While he`s still a big puppy, Poe’s loving and mature personality shines through. He’s playful, smart, and ready for adventure, making him the perfect companion for someone who can help him continue his training and guide him into adulthood.

Poe was transferred from a shelter in Orange County as part of a rescue effort following the Airport Fires, freeing up space for animals affected by the disaster. Now, he`s looking for his forever home, where he can bring joy, laughter, and plenty of Pittie cuddles.

Could this poetic pup be the next chapter in your life? Adopt Poe today!

More about this shelter

Founded in 1868, The SF SPCA is a community-supported nonprofit dedicated to saving, protecting and caring for cats and dogs. We do this through immediate care of animals that are homeless, ill or in need of an advocate, but we also work to educate the community, reduce the number of unwanted kittens and puppies through spaying/neutering, and improve the quality of life for animals and their companions.
