My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Billy

Available for Foster to Adopt

Woof! My name's Billy, and boy, do I have a tail to tell!

I wasn't always the happy pup you see today. My story starts on the hot, dusty streets of Laredo, Texas. Life was ruff back then – no comfy beds, no yummy treats, and definitely no squeaky toys. I didn't even know what those were!

Everything changed when C.A.R.E. brought me to Skokie and found me a foster home. At first, I was scared – everything was so new! The ground felt different under my paws, there were strange smells everywhere.

But the biggest surprise was yet to come. My foster mom brought out these colorful things called 'toys'. I had no idea what to do with them at first. But when I picked one up in my mouth and it made a funny 'squeak' sound, my tail started wagging all on its own!

From that moment on, I became a toy fanatic. I love carrying them around, arranging them just so, and then rearranging them again. It's like having my very own treasure collection!

At night, I sleep in this amazing den called a 'crate'. It's cozy and safe, just for me. Sometimes, I even take my favorite toy in there for sleepovers.

The best part about my new life, though? All the friends I get to make! Every person I meet is a potential new buddy. Kids, adults, even other dogs – I love them all! My tail just won't stop wagging when I'm around others.

Now, I'm ready for my next big adventure – finding my forever family. Could that be you? I promise to bring lots of love, plenty of gentle cuddles, and I'll even share my toys (well, most of them).

If you're looking for a loyal friend who's always up for playtime or a cozy nap, come meet me. I'll be the one with the big smile and the wagging tail, probably surrounded by all my toys.

Let's write the next chapter of my story together. I can't wait to meet you and show you all my cool toy-arranging tricks!

I have been microchipped and neutered and have had a full veterinary checkup and vaccines. My adoption fee is $325. For more information or if you would like to meet me, please fill out an adoption survey at carenorthshore.org/dog-adoption-survey.

Lots of licks and tail wags,
Billy
