A21949 Picasso is a brindle colored, approximately 2-year-old, 71-pound, neutered male, Pitbull.
He entered the shelter as a stray on 09-15-2024 and was altered by our medical staff.
Picasso is a friendly, and eager boy here at the shelter. Our staff describes him as a friendly, happy boy. He has had some training and will "sit and "shake upon command. He was easy to leash but pulled in excitement to be out exploring. He can be a little bull headed and continue to pull or not want to go in the direction you are wanting. He will need a little more training. He has a friendly interest in other dogs, as he wags his tail and pulls you to each kennel as you go by for a walk. Picasso will be a fun-loving family member in his new forever home.

Meet and greets with your family dog and shelter dog is encouraged. Dog and cat meet and greets are not allowed.

$80 for all kitten/cat adoptions. $90 for all puppy/dog adoptions. $35 for all rabbit adoptions.

Additional adoption info

The shelter is open to the public Monday through Saturday from 9:00am to 5:00pm, with adoptions closing at 4:30pm. The shelter is closed on Sundays and all government observed holidays.

City of Henderson Animal Care and Control is the only open admission animal shelter in the City of Henderson. We service the City of Henderson and the residents and animals within city limits. Our goal is to find forever homes for all adoptable animals and reunite pets with their people. We work with multiple rescue groups and allow any good adoptee to adopt from our shelter.
