Here's what the humans have to say about me:

A1338033 Fiona is a brown colored, approximately 2 to 3-year-old, 67-pound, spayed female, German Shepherd. She entered the shelter as a stray on 09-02-2024 and was altered by our medical staff. Fiona is a friendly, but timid girl here at the shelter. She was a little difficult to leash, because she was scared, and pulled during our walks. She did listen and take correction well though. She had no interest in other dogs here. She has had some training and will "sit and "shake upon command. Give her a little patients and time to decompress from the shelter and she will be a great family member. Fiona will be a loving, loyal companion in her new forever home.

Meet and greets with your family dog and shelter dog is encouraged. Dog and cat meet and greets are not allowed.

$80 for all kitten/cat adoptions. $90 for all puppy/dog adoptions. $35 for all rabbit adoptions.

Additional adoption info

The shelter is open to the public Monday through Saturday from 9:00am to 5:00pm, with adoptions closing at 4:30pm. The shelter is closed on Sundays and all government observed holidays.

City of Henderson Animal Care and Control is the only open admission animal shelter in the City of Henderson. We service the City of Henderson and the residents and animals within city limits. Our goal is to find forever homes for all adoptable animals and reunite pets with their people. We work with multiple rescue groups and allow any good adoptee to adopt from our shelter.
