A1338034 Tobey is an approximately 10-year-old, 18-pound, neutered male, Poodle mix. He entered the shelter as a stray on 08-31-2024. He received a dental from our medical staff and had multiple small growths removed. They determined Tobey has a grade 5 out of 6 heart and will be on medication for life, so his adopter must be committed to this. Tobey is a friendly, calm, old man here at the shelter. Our staff describes him as sweet and cute. He was easy leash and well behaved during our walks. He had no interest in other dogs here at the shelter. Tobey will be a loving, loyal companion in his new forever home.

Meet and greets with your family dog and shelter dog is encouraged. Dog and cat meet and greets are not allowed.

$80 for all kitten/cat adoptions. $90 for all puppy/dog adoptions. $35 for all rabbit adoptions.

Additional adoption info

The shelter is open to the public Monday through Saturday from 9:00am to 5:00pm, with adoptions closing at 4:30pm. The shelter is closed on Sundays and all government observed holidays.

City of Henderson Animal Care and Control is the only open admission animal shelter in the City of Henderson. We service the City of Henderson and the residents and animals within city limits. Our goal is to find forever homes for all adoptable animals and reunite pets with their people. We work with multiple rescue groups and allow any good adoptee to adopt from our shelter.
