Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Still waiting for a loving and permanent home....................
Rascal is a 1-year old apricot-colored cockapoo. He came into our rescue as an owner surrender--they actually didn't have the time to give him the much needed love and attention that he needed.
Rascal is a 20lb. high-strung, full of energy type of dog. He is very playful with other dogs and would do best in a home with another young and active dog such as himself (if you have another dog and looking for a companion for him/her) or would be fine in a home by himself as well. He is also fine with cats. A home with older children would be best for him due to his high energy level. Rascal is crate-trained and seems to be almost housebroken (only goes in the house when left for long periods of time) but will probably need a little more work on housetraining. Rascal can be a little barky at times especially when he wants attention such as when you leave or come home. So he will definitely need someone who doesn't mind that. In addition he is also looking for a home where he will receive plenty of love, attention and exercise time. Rascal would really love to have a yard to run around and play in (preferrably a fenced-in yard). So a condo or an apartment would not make a good match for him.
IF YOU ARE INTERESTED IN MEETING OR LEARNING A LITTLE BIT MORE ABOUT RASCAL, HE WILL BE AT THE 2ND ANNUAL PAWS-4-A CAUSE WALK/RUN EVENT ON SUNDAY, MAY 14TH FROM 9-2PM AT THE CLEVELAND METROPARKS SOUTH CHAGRIN RESERVATION POLO GROUNDS.
The adoption fee for Rascal is $200 which includes all his shots, rabies, has tested negative for heartworm and for worms and is neutered. He will also receive his first heartworm pill along with a bath and grooming. Rascal's hair does grow long so it is definitely important that he receives frequent brushings and visits to the groomers.
