Meet Fagin, a 12-year-old Doxie mix who may be a senior, but still has plenty of love and energy left to give. Weighing in at 11 pounds, Fagin is a sweet, gentle soul who’s had a tough time adjusting to life in a shelter. Understandably, he can be a bit reserved at first, but once he warms up to you, his true personality shines through—greeting you with a wagging tail and a heartwarming smile.
This charming little guy is looking for a loving home where he can enjoy his golden years in comfort. Fagin may be older, but he’s still got a bit of spring in his step and would love a family that appreciates his calm, yet playful nature.
His adoption fee of $150 includes spaying/neutering, vaccinations, microchipping, and a complimentary wellness visit at Phoenix Mountain Animal Hospital. If you think Fagin could be the perfect addition to your home, schedule a meet-and-greet during adoption hours, Thursday through Saturday, from 11:00 am to 4:00 pm. Home Fur Good has trained adoption counselors to review and question any potential problems/issues with application. We do require an adoption fee which ranges for dogs $150-$300 and for cats $50-$100. All cats and dogs are spayed/neutered, microchipped, vaccinated and vet checked.
If another dog or dogs are present in the household we require a meet and greet prior to adoption. All members of the household must be on board with adoption. We do not adopt our rescues out without meeting person that will be responsible - no "gift" adoptions. We contract that if cat/dog must be relinquished they are returned to us. If there is a change of ownership we must be kept informed who responsible party is. Fees are non refundable.

We do adoptions from shelter every Thursday 11:00am to 4:00 pm and we are at Petsmart Tatum and Shea every other Sunday from 11-3pm. Please check our website for more specifics.

More about this rescue

Home Fur Good is a non profit no kill animal shelter located in the NE Valley. We take a majority of our cats and dogs from County, many who have treatable medical conditions and would otherwise be put down. We assess physical and behavior and work with the cats/dogs to find the best suitable match. It is our goal that each cat or dog that comes to our shelter ultimately be placed in their "furever" homes.

We also operate a low cost vaccine and microchip clinic each Sunday. We want to help community be able to care for and keep their animals safe. We do not charge vet fee only fee for vaccine and microchip. Additionally we have a low cost dental clinic each Wednesday. Check our website for more details.
