Astra is a 10 year old 14 pound female

This beautiful girl came to us with mammary tumors so large that they touched the ground. She has since had them removed and is all healed up. The biopsy report showed that most of the tumors were benign and one of them was low grade malignant, but removal with good margins (that were gotten) was curative. While these tumors were horrific, we are grateful that we were able to get the surgery done when we were able to. If the neglect that she suffered for so long had continued, this beautiful girl’s story would not be ending in us taking applications for her to find a home that will cherish her for the rest of her life like she so deserves.
Astra has a birth defect of the bones of one of her front legs and so she has a bit of a limp. She has been seen by an orthopedic specialist and there isn’t anything to do about it and she’s not in pain.
Astra loves chasing squirrels and lizards, she loves food and soft beds.
Shes snuggly and sweet.
We can’t wait to see her with a family that will love and cherish her like she deserves.
