My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

This large fellow is looking for a home of his own. He is a guardian breed which often lives an outdoor life. A home with a fully fenced yard would be ideal to give him a safe space to roam and call his own. He has a thick coat which will require some upkeep. He is quite calm, but does have moments of excitement where he jumps up to say hi. For this reason it is recommended that he go to a home with older children. He currently weighs around 40kgs. A private training class is required with adoption.

Adoptable pets are now available through Alberta Animal Rescue Crew Society (AARCS)

Go meet their pets

Effective March 1, 2021 AARCS began a pilot to manage pet adoption services for The City of Calgary. The goal is to reduce the time adoptable pets spend sheltered, for the overall welfare of the animals. AARCS has an extensive fostering network, which increases the opportunity for animals to be cared for in homes, instead of shelters, while they wait for their new family. Animal Services will continue to carry out medical and dental care and spay and neuters for adoptable animals before they are transported to AARCS for adoption or fostering. https://aarcs.ca/adoptable-animals/
