Sadie is a very sweet and loving dog. She loves humans and being a companion in an adult retired home. She can be energetic at times and needs love and attention. She is a sweet girl at around 2 years Old. She is a lab mix smaller in size. She such a sweet and lovable dog and all she wants is love.She house trained, good in a crate. She is spayed, up to date on shots and heartworm tested negative. She oves to snuggle and be loved.
Her favorite activity is napping in the sun on our couch. Shy at first needs to bond with her people. She is very loving! Once she gets to know you she will love you forever!

We have an adoption form, followed by phone interview and home visit. Fees vary depending on the animal, from as $50 to $300 depending on how much vetting we have done and the type and breed of animal. Cats always go for $50 or less, because they are hard to place. We usually spend about $100 in vetting on each cat, so it is a loss. Pit bulls typically go for $150 or less, for the same reasons. We may put more into them, but they are hard to place.

We have adoption events almost every week at a variety of locations. We do a Yappy Hour event every month in Hamburg Shopping Center, and we have a number of outreach programs whereby we will go to various art shows and events throughout the Summer with adoptable pets. More about this rescue

Paws 4 the Cause has been in the business of saving animals since 2008. We currently have 10 people sitting on our board who each make a valuable contribution toward animal welfare.

Paws 4 the Cause is a registered 501(3)(c) non-profit operating throughout the central Kentucky area. We are an all-volunteer organization. We are centrally located in downtown Lexington, and we also support a 20 acre animal sanctuary in Scott County.

None of our board members receive any financial compensation and 100% of all donations go towards vet, food and housing bills for animals in need. Administrative costs are paid through a separate grant from StarLight.com
