Meet our outgoing and happy boy named Gonzo! Gonzo is about 2 years old and he came to us after he was found as a stray in town. He weighs about 12 lbs. When Gonzo was first found, his fur was completely overgrown and matted to the point where he couldn't even see out of one of his eyes. This poor boy was a mess, but after being with us for a few days, his personality really came out and he showed us he is a very friendly boy! Gonzo has now been completely shaved down. His fur will grow back and he will need regular professional grooming after that. Gonzo is an energetic little guy who likes to play. He especially loves squeaky toys. Gonzo is friendly with other dogs and likes to play with them. He just isn't a fan of being mounted by other dogs. Gonzo can go to a home with children 12 years old and older.
*We are requiring Gonzo's adopters to have experience owning dogs that need REGULAR PROFESSIONAL GROOMING.*

Appts to meet dogs can made to suit your schedule, please email/call for an appt. We do prefer to be contacted by email for adoption inquiries at Adopt@savingpawsct.org. You must be 21 years of age to adopt with valid ID. There is a short application for adoption, however if you do not own your home, or you own a condo, we must speak with your landlord or housing association giving permission to dogs/cats. Bully breed specific permission is required if you rent or own a condo. If you own your home, proof of home ownership is required. If there are other pets in the home they must be licensed (if a dog) and up to date on vaccinations. If there is another dog in the home a dog interaction must be done at the shelter before adoption, to ensure the safety and well being of all pets. All children in the home need to be declared and brought down to meet the animal.
Applications must be submitted and approved BEFORE a meet and greet can be scheduled to meet an animal.

An approved application does not guarantee an adoption. We do not hold animals for meet and greet appointments.

ALL ANIMALS ARE SPAYED AND NEUTERED BEFORE THEY GO HOME.
