Anyone know what kind of Kangaroo this is and how she wound up in Fort Bend County? Oh, wait. That’s a dog. Has anyone told her that?! Wiggle Worm is full of puppyish excitement. Her tail is always wagging and she’s always jumping for joy! You may have heard that kangaroos box – well Wiggle Worm hugs! She doesn’t mean to jump so much – she’s just easily excited and happy you want to spend time with her. She likes to spread as much love and joy as possible. She’s one of the happiest dogs around. She enjoys running and playing and has boundless energy. She loves toys and is full of the zoomies. She’s working on learning to sit on command, but she’s not great at it yet. She loves her treats though so she’s motivated to learn!

Our regular adoption fee is $100 payable by money order or credit card. The fee covers basic vaccinations, Rabies vaccination, microchip, heart worm testing for dogs, and the spay/neuter surgery.

You will be required to sign to an adoption contract and other paperwork relating to the adoption of your new family member.

Go meet their pets

Our kennel hours are Monday-Friday 10 am to 4 pm and Wednesday also from 5 pm to 7 pm. We are open Saturday from 11 am to 3 pm and closed on Sunday.

More about this shelter

We are an open admission, municipal shelter serving the unincorporated area of Fort Bend County, TX.

We are the county's rabies control authority as well as being their animal shelter. On average, we take in approximately 4,000-5,000 pets per year.

The staff at FBCAS is small but each and every one of us is dedicated to making the stay of the pets in our care as comfortable as possible. Our hearts are in this and with every pet that crosses our threshold.

We are part of the amazing Fort Bend County community and we are always striving to work with our community people and partners to make our shelter the best it can be.

We can always use new volunteers to help us keep our pets happy and healthy while they wait for their forever home.
