Hi! Rylee here. I am a sweet and loving 6-year-old looking for a companion. I absolutely love car rides and will stay in my seat; however, I really enjoy hanging my head out the window for some fresh air. Lol. I'm very mild-mannered and love my nap time. I get super excited for a game of fetch, and I'll lay my head on your lap when I want the back of my ears or belly rubbed.
During the workday, I patiently wait in my crate (mostly sleeping) until you return home. I eat twice a day and will sit waiting for a little "good stuff" (chicken broth) to be added to my dry food. When I come and stare at you, I'm letting you know I'm thirsty and noticed that my water bowl is empty. I dream of the night when I could sleep on the bed with my owner, but my current owner won't let me, so I stay on my cushion on the floor, still dreaming of that moment.
I love the peanut butter or cheese the vet gives, but I think it's just a distraction while they invade me. I like my "little sister," Blue, A LOT, or I'm happy to be by myself. I enjoy laying in the sun, although Blue prefers staying indoors, so I sunbathe solo.
Tricks? Oh yes! I can catch ice cubes in the air and sit because that usually means I'll get a treat. I've learned many words like "ride in the truck," "sit," "cheese," "treats," "water," "hungry," "good stuff," and the dreaded word "no." My current owner has to be away for work too much now, but hopefully, I can find another wonderful home.
To set up a meet and greet or inquire about a dog, please first fill out an application at https://savinghoperescue.org/adopt It doesn't obligate you, but it is the first step. We don't get to all of the inquiries but respond to all applications. Thank you for choosing to rescue!
