Check out our sister brand, Kinship, for vet chat, a nutrition calculator, basic obedience training, and (much) more. So you're never flying solo in this pet parenting thing.
If you see pets listed by a private owner, it means that they’re adoptable through Adopt a Pet’s Rehome program – the safe and reliable way to find a loving new home for your pet.
I've had Biscuit since he was 6 weeks old. Making the decision to rehome him has been incredibly heartbreaking but necessary. He is extremely playful & sweet. He takes his frisbee everywhere & begs everyone to throw it. The issues began when he was 2 yrs. old. I also own a senior dachshund. What began as minor tiffs has escalated into serious conflicts between the two. Due to size discrepancy, this has become a dangerous situation for my dachshund. The situation has slowly declined over the last 2 years, with the incidents only occurring inside the home while I’m present. He exhibits signs of resource guarding. However, he has always received fantastic reports when boarded or at doggy daycare. Staff has confirmed this, noting excellent behavior with other dogs at the facility. The issues seem to stem from his protective nature towards me & his home. I believe Biscuit would be happiest in a home without small children or small dogs; he may do well with larger dogs in a “pack” setting.
