My name is Dante!

Dante is a ~10 month old sweetheart and has been well loved in his current home. Unfortunately, he and his current guardian are not well matched and it has become increasingly challenging for her to keep up with his needs due to her health.

He loves other dogs and is very well socialized with dogs and people. He has been around some kids (~ 8 yo) and was friendly. He has not lived with kids or been around them for extended periods of time but in general has had no signs of aggression. He has not been tested around cats. He is a typical young dog for his breed mix and is still learning to regulate his energy.

The ideal home for Dante would have a large fenced yard and another dog (or even two). He's super smart and a quick learner and loyal to his people. He loves people!! He knows many basic cues. Dante is a happy, playful and high energy pup and it is important that his new home is with folks with an active lifestyle and who are have experience with dogs (esp. herding breeds)
