Meet Sky and Cloud. These two lady budgies are quiet and demur. They each have beautiful coloration and markings. These girls are great companions to each other, sharing food, a fun cage full of toys and, gazes in the mirror.

They are relatively quiet apart from a little singing in the morning. This pair is approximately six years old. They are not entirely hand-tamed yet, but the foster family has been working with them and is making progress.

If you want to adopt some calm and beautiful birds, these gals are a good choice.

They have been disease-tested for psittacosis and PBFD.

Sky and Cloud are being fostered in Bristol, PA, and will require an in-person visit before adoption. We will not ship our adoptable birds.

For the Love of Birds is a network of dedicated foster homes throughout NJ and Eastern PA. As our adoptable birds are living in volunteer homes, we only allow approved adopters to make the required visits.

Additional adoption info

The adoption procedure begins with completing an adoption application and returning it to us. We will check your references and then call you for a telephone interview. While we check your references, we will ask that you review an educational power point presentation. After your application is approved, it is our policy that you visit with the bird(s) three times to have multiple interactions with them and give you time to consider the adoption and get ready for your new family member. There is an adoption fee for each bird.

For the Love of Birds is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization dedicated to the welfare of companion birds. We are a network of volunteers throughout New Jersey, and surrounding areas. We take in birds in need of new homes, and place them in nurturing and educational foster homes until a loving new family is found.
