Sweet Cherry is settling right in to her Sudbury MA foster home. She is fostered with adult humans and a resident dog but met a kiddo along the way and was great.
From her foster mom––"Cherry was content all the way home. She started to come out of her shell within minutes of getting home - she loves toys and playing outside. She always wants to be with me and is already my new shadow. She met Fitzy (resident dog) through gates and the fence. She played and snuggled with my family friend’s daughter and she loves being on anyone’s lap. She napped well in her crate this afternoon. She has claimed a cozy puppy bed and loves to bring her toys into it - will have her sleep in the crate next to my bed.
Great first day!"
Rescue story––Cherry is another side-of-the-road-southern-special and part of a very lucky litter to land in rescue. They were assumably dumped with mom who looks like a Lab + Husky mix (blue eyes, short yellow coat) and she has found an adopter already in the south. She has a wonderful temperment which she has passed along to her babies. She is approx 50-60 pounds and her babies are approx 5 pounds @ 7 weeks old. Because we do not know who the dad is, we can guess that these puppies could just be medium-sized or closer to mom. These puppies will thrive with training, enrichment, and the socialization that all pups need to be good canine citizens.
Preference is given to adopters willing to pre-adopt (commit to) a puppy or dog before arrival to MA. Pups not pre-adopted are available to meet in their MA foster homes after your application is approved. Should this pup receive an adoption commitment prior to your application being processed, we will share with you the other arriving pups that may be a match for you, some of which are not yet posted online. THIS PUP IS STILL AVAILABLE IF YOU ARE SEEING THIS LISTING––we pull listings down after receiving 2 - 3 viable applications to minimize adopter disappointment. Please do not email, simply submit an application link here www.rescueinc.dog/adopt and we do respond to every application within 48 hours.

All of our pups come with the following:
WE ISOLATE OUR OWN PUPS in our state licensed facility, which means we have eyes on your puppy or dog for the MA mandated 48 hours. During this timeframe, your pups not only see our isolation vet twice but also receive additional rounds of dewormer along with pre + probiotics; transition to Canidae food; additional behavior assessments as they decompress; and so much love and thoughtfulness from our volunteers. Your pups are bathed at intake and again before pick up. All are paired in kennels with littermates or for those that travel alone, we have a rotation of volunteers to visit with them. We provide enrichment throughout the day and meditation music during nap time and through the overnight. We use these 48 hours to ready your pup to transition into a foster or adoptive home and do all that we can to reduce their stress while they are with us.
Ages listed can be approximate and breed mixes are a best guess based on physical characteristics.
