My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Boris has been spending some time in a foster home and his foster had this to say about him:
My name is Boris but I go by Bo. People think I'm a beagle possibly mixed with a cocker spaniel or maybe lab because of my coloring and coat. I am old but can't really remember how old I am but I am young at heart.
I'm the most chill dog you will ever meet. Nothing bothers me - thunder, other dogs, cats, people.... can't really think of anything that bothers me. I bark but not at strangers. I bark when I want something- you just need to figure out what it is that I want. I will let you know when I need to go out - you just need to be quick. I love to have my ears scratched and will melt if you massage my head and my shoulders.
I am a food hound and I love water - I never get enough of either. I promise I will keep your kitchen floor clean. I like to sleep (I snore) and I like to eat! I can sometimes have a hard time going up and down stairs but that doesn't stop me. I am determined!
I may be a bit raggedy around the edges but I am the sweetest old man you will ever meet!

Additional adoption info

HSNMB does not hold animals and all adoptions are done on a first-come, first-served basis in person at the shelter. Once the adoption is completed and the fee is paid, you must take the animal with you at that time.

Please be sure to bring a photo ID and cash or a credit card for the adoption fee. The primary caregiver is required to be present to go through the adoption process. Any children 5 and under and, in some cases, any existing dogs living in the home will be required to be present and meet the animal prior to adopting. Meet and greets are not required for all animals, but may be deemed necessary by HSNMB staff for specific pets.

Adoption Fees:
Cats (over 6 months of age): $60
Kittens (under 6 months of age): $100
Dogs (over 6 months of age): $110
Puppies (under 6 months of age): $140
Seniors ages 60 and up qualify for discounted adoptions fees.
