My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hello, I'm Simon. You know, age is just a number, and I'm living proof of that! I've got the heart of a kitten, always ready for a game of chase the laser dot. When I'm not showing off my playful side, I'm all about the cuddles. My purr motor starts up the moment you give me some attention. I'm friendly to everyone I meet, always ready to greet you with a soft meow and a nudge of my head. And energetic? You bet! I've got plenty of pep in my step. I'd love to find a home where I can share my love and energy. Adopting me means gaining a loyal friend who will always be there to brighten your day.

More about this shelter

Founded in 1971 as the Animal Aid Society of Englewood, Suncoast Humane Society began with a few cages where people left stray animals to be cared for. Over the years, our service area has grown to include over 400 square miles, covering three counties: Sarasota, Charlotte and portions of Lee.
Suncoast Humane Society provides a safe refuge for thousands of lost, abandoned and abused animals from our service area each year. We are committed to our open-door policy of never turning any animal away, regardless of health, temperament, breed or circumstances.
