A Little Bit About Me

Handsome Milo came to us from someone who realized she had too many cats. Although we were sad to see him here, his next home will be very happy that he was brought in. Milo, besides being incredibly beautiful, is a real sweetheart. He loves to be near his people when they are working on the computer, on the couch, and of course, the favorite spot: the bathroom! Got an extra tub? Put a ping pong ball in it and he'll jump in to play with it. Milo loves to sit next to people and be petted. He loves toys, cat tunnels, wand play, and a sunny spot to lay in.

His new family will need to get a slow feeder for him (otherwise he eats too quickly and doesn't keep his food down). Milo is FIV+, he has lived with other cats, and would probably be fine with other FIV+ cats. He should be indoors only. If you've been wanting an easy going, attentive feline friend, then ask to meet Milo! He might just be the 'the one' for you.

More about this rescue

We are a group of people dedicated to rescuing dogs from crisis situations, some of which include euthanasia by animal shelters, neglect and other forms of abuse, or "free to a good home" ads, which result in dogs being bounced from one home to another, or being acquired by animal brokers ("bunchers") and sold to research laboratories where they are used for testing then discarded ("cruelty industries").

NBCR&P works primarily with 5 herding breeds, and herding breed mixes. On occasion, NBCR&P also rescues and places other breeds. We foster our dogs in a home environment, rather than a kennel, if at all possible. We take pride in our promise that at any time and for any reason in the dog's life, if the need arises, he or she has a safe place with us ("return to rescue" policy).
