Ok, you know you're doing something right at your shelter when dogs start surrendering themselves to you! We were in the middle of a busy Sunday shift, cleaning runs, snuggling pups, greeting visitors......when we looked up and saw an unfamiliar fuzzy face! A gorgeous gray and white pup with the sweetest eyes just strolled into the shelter, and from there, right on into a playpark we opened up to corral him. "Let's call him Bob!" shouted a volunteer as he jogged over to befriend our newest guest. And so, Welcome Bob! We scanned him for a chip, reported him to the proper authorities, and posted him online. Nobody claimed him. Now Bob's officially ours, and he can be yours! Bob is an awesome little dude -- so friendly, so affectionate, so gentle. He LOVES every person he meets, and seems very interested in befriending the other dogs, too! The only time we've ever seen Bob sad is when we have to leave - he hangs his head, his usually-waggy tail sags, and he cries the softest, most heartbreaking cry. Bob came to our shelter looking for help, and he's shown us nothing but trust and gratitude. Help us show Bob he made the right choice! We suspect Bob traveled pretty far to reach us, and together, we can make sure that Bob's long journey ends in a loving forever home. Thanks for the validation, Bob! Thanks for choosing us! We and our online family won't let you down! Come meet Bob any day (including weekends and holidays) between 9am and noon. We're at 80 Butler Farm Road, Hampton, VA, 23666 Interested? Come for a visit any day of the week - 365 days a year between 9am - 12pm. Hope to see you soon!
PLEASE NOTE: Animal Aid Society observes a 40 mile adoption radius to facilitate post adoption support and follow ups.
