My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.

vetting complete

Archie is a super sweet boy who loves to chill and take naps.  He will go to the door to potty outside and prefers to be on a leash when out.  He is great with big and small dogs and seems to like men over women, however he will happily accept hugs and pets from both.  Like most dachshunds he seems to have a hearing problem, but Archie's is likely age related.  This sweet boy doesn't have an aggressive bone in his body, not even with food.  Having said that, he is very treat motivated.  His favorite time is the morning where he will  lay by the window in his bed for some sun time and solar charging.

More about this rescue

We have one sole purpose and that is to rescue, rehabilitate and re-home Dachshunds in need of a second chance at life and love. We rescue purebred (and a few mixed) dachshunds from pounds and shelters. Some have had a wonderful life but were dumped by their only family at a shelter for no reason at all, while others have been abused, abandoned, neglected and starved of food and human affection their entire life. We believe there is a home somewhere for every dog rescued; some just take a little longer to find.
