My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Calm and friendly, walks well on leash, loves attention and pets, loves treats, is a little chubby. Alley loves to swim and does well with large life stock animals. Alley is SO sweet with kids; she takes treats gently, follows basic commands, and is tolerant of the excited, loud, busy nature of children. We like to describe Alley's personality as "unbothered" because she is chill about everything. She enjoys car rides and a swim in the pond. She is a big fan of napping in the sunshine though our windows and she really likes to cuddle under a blanket! She rarely barks or makes a fuss. She knows basic commands and has a decent recall. She is house trained, and kennel trained. Alley is sweet and affectionate, but she is a bit timid with men. We think Alley would make a great family companion and believe her to be suitable for any type of household! Update from foster - Alley has been in our home for nearly three months now, and shes truly blossomed! Her confidence has soared, allowing her vibrant personality to shine through. She loves basking in the sunaffectionately nicknamed our little "baked potato" during those momentsor snuggling up in a blanket for a cozy nap, complete with the cutest snores! Alley enjoys a good game of tag and occasionally chases after a ball. And without fail, she greets us with enthusiastic tail wags and her adorable "tippy taps," which is her happy dance. She continues to get along famously with all the ranch animals, including barn cats, chickens, goats, horses, cows, and her special boyfriend dog, "Chop." Alley has been joining me at work for half-days and has become the unofficial mascot of the Ranch, always at the office door to greet visitors with a cheerful "HI!" She loves the ride to and from work, remaining calm and taking in the sights along the way. Ive been focusing on her off-leash recall, and Id say shes about 90% there! Treats and peanut butter spoons are her ultimate motivators. She walks nicely on a loose leash, though she can get a bit anxious and distracted when theres a lot going on around her. Alley is kennel trained and actually prefers to sleep in her own bed, although nap time often turns into a cuddle fest. Weve gotten her a jacket and some pajamas for the winter. Theyre not just adorable; theyre practical since her fur hasnt fully grown back yet. She doesnt mind getting dressed up at allin fact, I think she enjoys it! She would make the perfect dress-up companion for any little girl!
