Meet Enchilada, a playful and affectionate girl who’s ready to become your new best friend! Enchilada is full of energy and loves playing with her foster siblings, but when the fun is done, she’s all about the cuddles. She’s been sleeping soundly through the night and has a knack for making herself at home.

Enchilada walks well on a leash, though she can get a little distracted by all the exciting sights and smells—nothing a few treats won’t fix! She’s incredibly friendly and adores every human she meets, always ready to show her playful side with her toys and her happy, bouncy personality.

This clever girl has quickly picked up the difference between inside and outside and is already learning to sit before crossing the street on walks. She’s smart, eager to please, and full of pep!

One of our volunteers will reach out either by phone or email. Please be sure to check your junk file.

Home Check

Our Home Checks are Virtual on Zoom, FaceTime, Messenger..... followed by reference check as well as a vet reference check.

4.
Meet the Pet

Once your application has been approved and we think the dog you have applied for is a good match we will then set up a meet & greet.

Approve Application

Sign Adoption Contract

Pay Fee

Once the adoption contract and fee have been received the dog can go home with the approved adopter.

Backstreet Paws Rescue is a non-profit, volunteer based organization that helps homeless, abandoned street dogs find their forever homes. We are dedicated to providing the best possible care for these animals until they can be placed into a loving home. Our ultimate goal is to reduce the number of dogs that are euthanized each year in shelters due to lack of adoptions. We believe that every dog deserves a chance at a happy life and we are committed to helping as many dogs as possible.
