My personality

My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi there, we are Zombie and Wednesday, a fun-loving sassy kitten duo with a zest for life! Even tho we are crazy cute we also are sweet as honey and as brave as a sassy lion. we are always up for a game of chase the feather wand and some Taylor swift songs to cheer us along. We are really quite independent, so won't mind if you're out for the day, but we will be ready for some playtime when you get home. We are a curious and quirky little pair, always ready to explore new corners of the house. Our biological cat mom, Rosemary she’s also at Petsmart, says we are so smart and funny, and I think you'll agree. I promise we will try hard to bring lots of laughter, love, and curiosity into your life. Adopt us and let's start our adventure together! Come check us out at Tukwila Petsmart on Southcenter parkway.

Additional adoption info

We require you to fill out our adoption application to help us to get to know you, your living situation and what you are looking for in a pet. It will also help us to make sure the animal that you are interested in it the best fit for you and your life! Once we get the application we can proceed with the potential adoption.

It is imperative that you complete the entire application and be 100% open and honest. We do verify information on the application such as residence status, veterinarian reference etc. Only applicants that are best suited for the animal will be considered and will proceed to the next step of the adoption process.

We do adopt to out of state adopters, however, you must travel here to Western WA to pick up your potential new dog or cat. We do not allow any of our animals to fly commercially, be picked up or transported by anyone other than the adopters. It’s important that the dogs and cats are met by the potential adopters in person prior to adoption.

Go meet their pets

We have an amazing network of loving dedicated foster homes predominantly in the Puget Sound area so there is not a physical shelter location. Dogs and cats can be met by appointment only, unless attending an adoption event.

We also have cats for adoption in the Adoption Center at Tukwila Petsmart!

More about this rescue

R.A.I.N./Rescuing animals in need was originally established in 2011. We are located in Western Washington. Most of our dogs and cats come from underfunded shelters in California or Washington, where animals can be euthanized anytime due to lack of space, poor health, or duration of stay.
Many of our pets are rescued at the “eleventh hour” and are considered critical or urgent. They had little chance of being saved. We partner closely with a select group of rescues in California to save and place them
Rescued dogs and cats are vaccinated, spayed/neutered (if old enough), given flea/tick preventive, deworming medication, and microchipped. They are socialized with other pets and worked with regularly in foster care so we can get to know their personalities in depth. This ensures that the pet is well adjusted, happy and healthy before being adopted. It also helps us select the perfect forever home. Many of them have been through severe hardship, mistreatment or neglect, and that makes it even more important that we do our best for them. This means that we have to have guidelines because not every adopter is right for every animal. Our animals do not have a say in where they go; since we speak for those who have no voice, we must do right by them.
