My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Gus!

Gus is a 4-year-old, 20-pound chihuahua mix with a heart full of love and energy! Gus has come out of his shell quickly and brings all the fun and curiosity of a puppy with him. At home, you'll find him happily fetching toys and watching the world go by from the window. This curious little guy loves to explore his surroundings!

Gus is great on a leash and enjoys walks, but be prepared for lots of pit stops-he's got to check out every bush along the way! His hops are incredible, and he can even balance on his hind legs for an impressively long time, especially if there's a chance for human food. When it's time to relax, Gus will melt your heart with his love for cuddles, often putting his paws up on your chest for the sweetest hugs. He'll even give little grunts of approval when you give him belly rubs-his way of saying, "More, please!

Gus is both crate and house trained, making him the perfect addition to your home. He's ready to bring his playful energy, affection, and endless curiosity to his forever family!

Additional adoption info

Please visit www.hopeanimals.org/adopt to learn more about our adoption process and to complete an adoption application.

Adoption Fee includes spay/neuter*, microchipping, up-to-date vaccinations, and current heartworm and flea/tick preventatives.

*If pet is not old enough to be spayed or neutered prior to adoption, a $50.00 credit will be paid to your vet at the time of surgery.

We require a veterinary reference for current pet owners, and pets must be up to date on vaccines and heartworm preventative. We meet potential adopters in their homes and introduce the pets to the family's current pets to see if it is a good match. A copy of our adoption contract can be requested via email.
