My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Charlie is the sweetest boy of all time, and just needs someone to teach him how to be a dog again. He's definitely shy at first with every stranger he meets, due to the lack of socialization the breeder life has offered him with. Charlie does amazing with other dogs, and would likely benefit SO much by having another canine companion around to show him the way! At about 3 years old, and only around 30 or so pounds, he is an amazing size to say the least. We believe Charlie would do best in any home given the time & patience to adjust and become an entire dog again.

More about this shelter

We are a non-profit organization out of Monticello, IA specializing in the care for dogs and cats that need us. Our care does not stay local, as we take transports from all over the United States, and adopt all over as well!

Our mission's primary focus is to help reduce the homeless pet population by finding homes for spayed/neutered pets, and helping educate WHY this process is so important, and the proper way to care for pets!
