My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Willow girl! As gorgeous as shepherds come, she is exactly what anyone would LOVE in their shepherd. She is lovely and snuggly when you want her to be, and as bouncy as can be when you get her hyped up. Despite being initially shy with strangers, she warms up with a couple of treats, and soft voices. After that, she is as close to you as she can get, and enjoying ALL of your attention! At about 3 years old and 66 pounds she isn't too big either, and given the fact she LOVES romping with other dogs, we reckon she will do just fine in most homes!

More about this shelter

We are a non-profit organization out of Monticello, IA specializing in the care for dogs and cats that need us. Our care does not stay local, as we take transports from all over the United States, and adopt all over as well!

Our mission's primary focus is to help reduce the homeless pet population by finding homes for spayed/neutered pets, and helping educate WHY this process is so important, and the proper way to care for pets!
