My personality

My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

FOSTER NEEDED
Recently we were contacted by Ruby's family. They recently adopted her from another family and they were hopeful it would work out. However, integrating her into their pack of dogs has proven to have its challenges and they asked us for help. Our trainer met her and we would like to bring her into the rescue, but we need a foster. Please read the post and, if you live in CT and can help, fill out an application online: https://www.allaboutthedogsrescue.org/get-involved

Ruby is about 2 years old, a young pit bull mix girl. She's spayed and up to date with vaccines.
She's a happy, friendly, loveable dog who greets you with a smile, a tail wag, and a "let's play!" attitude. She's also a cuddle-bug once she gets her energy out.

She is a dog with a considerable amount of energy. We are looking for an active family for her, who can give her the physical exercise she needs on a daily basis. If you take long walks or hikes, Ruby would be happy to accompany you! She'd also love a securely fenced yard where she can run around.

Ruby's ideal family will have experience with bully breed dogs. She needs to learn her basics and our trainer will work with her and her foster family, once she's in a home.

If you have another dog, Ruby would need to be fed separately as she tends to be protective of her food. She is all about playing with another dog, so the other dog would need to be tolerant and you, as her family, would need to monitor activity between the dogs and correct as needed. Ruby just needs to learn how to be polite with another dog, and come to understand that playtime isn't 24/7!
She'd be happy to live with teenaged children. With her size and activity level, young children would not be a good match for her.

Her current family loves Ruby but, for the sake of the peace of mind of their senior dog specifically, are making the choice to find another more suitable home for her. Let's do that as quickly as possible!

Go meet their pets

We're a 100% foster-based rescue. We do hold adoption events that are posted on our Facebook and Instagram pages and also on our website. In terms of meeting our dogs, the usual process is for one of our volunteers to bring them to your home to meet you. We always want to see how our dog fits into a potential new foster or forever environment.

More about this rescue

All About the Dogs Rescue is a small rescue started by a group of experienced, dedicated rescuers who realized we can do more to help together than we could individually. We may be small, but we're mighty and are dedicated to helping as many dogs as we can. We don't just take easy dogs. We have helped dogs with medical conditions that have required substantial treatment, and dogs that need training to become the best versions of themselves. We work hard to take care of all of our dogs medical and training needs prior to adoption. Our goal is to make sure they have much happier futures than they have pasts, and that they and their new family mesh into a terrific new family unit.

As a small, fairly new rescue, we're still building our team! We always need fosters and volunteers. Please apply to join with us - the more fosters and volunteers we have, the more we can do to help!

As a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit organization, we can only do what we do for the dogs because of generous donors. If you can donate to help us help them, we'd be so grateful!
