Check out our sister brand, Kinship, for vet chat, a nutrition calculator, basic obedience training, and (much) more. So you're never flying solo in this pet parenting thing.
Octavius is one of the friendliest, sweetest, most well-tempered boys we have ever met! He looooooves attention and cuddles, purring in delight! He is amazing and someone will be very lucky to have him be part of their family. Octavius prefers to be the only cat in the home, and no dogs please.
He was adopted from us as a kitten in 2019, but recently (Sept 2024) his adopter died and when the house was cleaned out Octavius was abandoned outside meowing for help. Happily because of his microchip we were alerted and we immediately took him to safety back in our care. You will notice one of the photos he is outside - that is when he was found.
He meows for attention whenever he sees anyone! We are very anxious to get this wonderful boy back into a loving indoor-only home!

Due to COVID-19, we are not currently holding in-person adoption events. Most of our cats are in foster homes and we are doing virtual meet-and-greets with them.
We also have adoptable cats at our two partner cat cafes – CatCafe Lounge (https://www.catcafelounge.com/) in West Los Angeles and Cat Therapy (https://www.cattherapysb.com/) in Santa Barbara. You can make a reservation on their websites, or we can arrange a meeting by appointment once you have filled-out our application and spoken to our team.

More about this rescue
Stray Cat Alliance is a non-profit organization focused on educating and empowering communities to advocate for every cat’s right to be safe, healthy, and valued. Everyday, our team works to save the helpless lives of kittens and cats by providing: spay/neuter, trap-neuter-return (TNR), adoptions, wellness care, medical care, and community shelter support. Our goals are to:
-Eradicate cruelty toward cats through advocacy, rescue, and education.
-Find loving forever homes for cats and kittens taken in through all of our programs.
-Help shelters transform from executioners to safe havens for cats by implementing SCA’s life-saving policies and procedures.
-Educate the community about the plight of free‐roaming cats and empower people to take action to stop population growth through spay and neuter.
-Create and sustain a No-Kill Nation by mentoring other communities to become no-kill through our grassroots programs.
Stray Cat Alliance envisions a time when all cats are valued and safe whether in homes or communities, and when shelters serve as temporary safe havens.
