My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

How this pet arrived:
This pet was brought in by a community member.

Why this pet is the one for you:
Rain Cloud is a gentle, shy female dog who needs a little extra time and patience to feel safe and secure. She may be reserved at first, but with love and understanding, she'll slowly start to come out of her shell and show her sweet and loyal nature. Rain Cloud would do best in a calm, quiet home where she can settle in at her own pace. She's looking for a family who will give her the space she needs to adjust and blossom into the loving companion she's meant to be. If you have a soft spot for shy dogs and are ready to offer a nurturing environment, Rain Cloud will be forever grateful.

At SDHS:
This pet has been vaccinated, microchipped and spayed/neutered. This pet is now ready for their new home!

More about this shelter

San Diego Humane Society, an open-admission shelter, is creating a more humane world by inspiring compassion and advancing the welfare of animals and people. Our lifesaving safety net has helped San Diego become the largest city in the U.S. to keep healthy and treatable shelter animals from being euthanized. We are a private, independent, nonprofit organization that is not affiliated with any other humane society or society for the prevention of cruelty to animals.

With campuses in El Cajon, Escondido, Oceanside, Ramona and San Diego, we provide animal services for 14 cities within San Diego County. We not only care for 50,000 animals in our communities but also share the expertise we have gained through our innovative programs with shelters nationwide so they can save more lives in their communities.

While our influence is expanding nationally, our top priority is meeting the needs of San Diego. We provide exceptional care for all animals through world-class veterinary medicine, shelter and most of all: love.
