My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

CALEDONIA, ON.

Meet Lancelot, a stunning and intelligent dog with so much potential!

Lancelot’s journey hasn’t been without its challenges, but that just means he’s ready for a fresh start in the right home. Like many bright, energetic dogs, he needs guidance and training to thrive. Lancelot’s first family didn’t have the right tools to help him navigate his youthful enthusiasm, and while they loved him, they chose to limit his experiences instead of giving him the structure he needed.

As a result, Lancelot didn’t have the chance to learn how to channel his excitement around new people and dogs, and he was placed on medication without the added benefit of training. Now that he’s with SPIN, he’s finally getting the opportunity to learn, grow, and become the wonderful companion we know he can be.

Lancelot is eager to please, playful, and ready to learn with the right family by his side. With the support of a committed, patient adopter who can provide the training and structure he deserves, we know Lancelot will blossom.

Their adoption process

Additional adoption info

Each adoptive family will complete an application, come out to meet the available dog(s) and then email us after the meeting to let us know their intentions to pursue the adoption. We will do a home visit, check their references and then decide on the best home for each dog. Once a home is chosen, the family will sign our adoption contract and pay the $450 adoption fee prior to taking their new family member home with them!

Go meet their pets

All our dogs are in loving foster homes so you must have an appointment to meet them.

More about this rescue

SPIN strives to educate and raise public awareness about how to be responsible for and share your life with a companion animal. We talk about the importance of spay/neuter programs, the deplorable conditions found in puppy mills and advocate for change. We are most proud, however, of our work in engaging like-minded people together by providing a forum to discuss how to care for and celebrate the poodle breed, but also to come together when necessary to help poodles in need.
