Charlie is a handsome, sturdy young man with a sound temperament and a keen mind. He is a playful, confident, calm, puppy who is curious about the world around him. Charlie was born June 4, 2024 and arrived at the shelter in September. He is a mixed breed of unknown origin; based on his current growth rate we estimate Charlie will weigh between 50 and 60lbs.
He is not quite housetrained, although he is doing pretty well at the shelter and we are confident Charlie will catch on quickly with a regular routine. He is working on his crate training too! Since his arrival, Charlie has met a number of staff and volunteers, become very social, and recently represented the shelter at an adoption event. Puppy training classes are highly recommended in order to teach Charlie to make good decisions as he navigates the world into adulthood.
Puppies are so much fun, but if you don’t have puppy experience please do some research on what they need from you to grow into a polite, healthy adult.
Charlie has yet to be neutered as he is too young, but he can go home under a foster-to-adopt contract. The adoption would be finalized right after his neuter.
