Looking for a sweet boy, say about 62 pounds and 2 years old that would doubtless be a loving devoted pet for your family? Then Graham may be just the one! He is an American Pit Bull Terrier and was picked up by one of our officers on 9/19 and brought to the Mesquite Animal Shelter. It looks like he's been well cared for by his owner. However, he has been at the shelter for several days and unfortunately no one has come looking for him. He walks very nicely on a leash. He appears to be potty trained because he held it in and once in the yard, he went and went!! He was fascinated by all the sights and smells in the yard as he poked around with his nose hither and yon. He made several trips to the gate and peered out, looking for something or someone. Maybe his people? He spent a considerable amount of time scouting out the yard and then climbed up on our play equipment, showing off his athleticism. He is well behaved and calm and has a chill personality. He was somewhat reserved and not actually seeking out attention. However, when I stopped him to pet him, he was OK with that. Graham is a well-built, stocky fellow. He has no interest in being someone's watch or guard dog, but wants to live inside with his people and be an important part of the family circle.
