Check out our sister brand, Kinship, for vet chat, a nutrition calculator, basic obedience training, and (much) more. So you're never flying solo in this pet parenting thing.
Matey entered City of Corona Animal Services as a stray. When she wasn't claimed, we scooped her up on September 19th to become a Frosted Face. She is estimated to be 10 years old and weighs 13 lbs.
Matey is very sweet, likes attention, and does well with our other little dogs on-site. She has very limited vision but uses her other senses to learn her way around.
Matey lives in a Foster home. Not only does she get lots of love and pampering, but we have learned a lot about what she is like in a home environment!
Her Foster Mom reports;
"Matey has been such an absolute sweetie. She cuddles, but isn’t needy. She kisses, but not too much. She plays, but also lounges around. She’ll sleep on her bed, or your bed! She’s patient and so thankful. She always shows her happiness with a curly tail wag. She starts wagging the moment she hears anyone because she loves people so much.
Matey is so excited when someone calls her name and she starts a mission to find where the person is! She cannot see a thing, but she is a pro at mapping things out in her head! Her hearing is impeccable, and her sense of smell is even better.
Matey's favorite thing is head and ear scratches, she'll fall asleep sitting up if you scratch her long enough!
Matey does amazing when we leave the house. I watched her on the puppy cam just to be sure, but she slept on her bed the whole time. She's the best girl! She knows her humans will come home for her.
Matey has learned what playing is! She loves our 8-month-old puppy. Check out the cute video of them playing!
Matey is the perfect little sweetheart. She rides in her stroller and naps any time she goes out, and when you get home she’ll be so happy. She really loves listening to people talking and the world around her while we are out. She may not see anything, but this girl still has the best time.
The most rewarding part of fostering is when the dogs finally start to open up, it shows that they can finally feel safe and secure in our home. I’m so happy Matey is doing better physically, and her spirits are so much better, too!
This girl is such an easy loving companion. Matey has the sweetest soul and just wants to show everyone love."
Matey is thriving in her foster home but is still waiting for her forever family. Might that be you?
