My personality

My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Would you like someone to quietly listen to you with all their hearts ❤ and make you feel loved and understood and maybe even a little taken care of?

River is one of several shy, sweet German shepherds at FAAS you might want to meet.

He's a cautious 70-ish-pound guy who takes a while to come out of his shell, but when he does, he is all love and devotion.

He likes other dogs that give him a little space in the beginning, and seems to get a confidence boost from play dates, so he might benefit from the friendship of another friendly family dog. (If you don't have another dog, regular playdates he enjoys would be a good alternative.)

A quiet, calm home is probably best for River.

Did you know FAAS offers free training with all canine adoptions?
