For Adopt a Pet and the PEDIGREE® brand, October is all about finding homes for dogs in shelters. Adopt this month for a PEDIGREE® Wet Food Pouch and a chance to win a Homecoming-style photo shoot and shelter donation.
Sahara is a sweet 7-month-old terrier-mix with regal looks and a graceful way about her. She can be a bit shy at first but opens right up with some kind words! Sahara is currently 20 lbs. so she'll likely be a smallish adult dog. She has gotten along with kennel mates so we think she'll do well in a home with other dogs. We think Sahara will be a lovely companion to anyone who looking to add a good girl to their family! As with all puppies, Sahara will need some patience as she learns the rules of her new home, but she seems smart and ready to learn. The adoption fee is $50 and before Sahara leaves the shelter, she will be spayed, microchipped, and vaccinated.

Caddo Parish Animal Services is an open-admission shelter meaning no homeless animal is turned away. Our goal is to reunite lost pets with their owners and when that is not possible, find a new home for them, provided that they are healthy and not aggressive.
