My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Sigh....I'm Shiloh. I am an almost seven-year-old retriever mix that is starting over and looking for a new home. I was brought to the shelter by a kind neighbor who found me playing with another dog in his yard. After checking around the neighborhood to see if anyone knew us he loaded us up in his car and brought us to the shelter in hopes that our owners would find us. Well my buddy's owner came for him, but my owner was contacted and she never came to get me. So I am going to put my best paw forward and hope I can find a new home. I have all of my vaccinations, I am heartworm negative, I have a microchip, and I have been spayed. I don't have a lot of spring in my step anymore, but I love to cuddle up next to the volunteers and employees and I like to go for strolls outside in the early mornings and late afternoons. Does that sound good to you?

Additional adoption info

The placement of our adoptable animals into loving, caring homes and thereby enhancing the bond between animals and people is the primary goal of the Montgomery Humane Society Adoption Program. We focus on education so that every pet owner benefits from their contact with the shelter, whether or not they adopt an animal from us. Matching the needs of the animal and the potential owner, as well as educating potential owners about responsible pet ownership, helps to ensure successful pet placements of shelter animals.
