My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Orangutan! This sweet bread loaf is an adorable, medium hair orange female! She was born outside in a small colony to an elderly caretaker in eastern CO. The caretaker was able to bring her and her siblings inside and socialize them. She is now ready for her own home! She would do well with other cats and would likely do fine with dogs with a slow and proper introduction. She loves to be held and is mastering her playing skills. She is ready for her next chapter and her new home! Ask about her today!

Their adoption process

Additional adoption info

Adoptable animals are located at our Taft Campus at 2200 N Taft Hill Rd, Fort Collins, CO 80524 or for more info call 970-484-8516.

The first step to adopting a cat or dog from Animal Friends Alliance is to fill out an adoption questionnaire. You can do this online!

The next step is to pick out a cat or dog! Check out our adoptable cats and adoptable dogs for pictures and short descriptions or come into the shelter at our Taft Hill campus. We also have adoptable cats at many offsite locations.

Note: not all available cats and dogs reside at our campuses. Some are at off-site adoption partners or in foster homes. If you are interested in a particular cat or dog, please call our shelter at (970) 484-8516 to find out about their current status and location.

We do not ship animals. You are required to come and meet your new addition prior to adoption so that we can ensure a good match.

Please note that we will make a copy of the adopters’ State ID card, Driver’s License or passport at the time of adoption.
