My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Psst, senior pet collectors, we've got one for you!
This is Prince and if you like sweet old dogs, you are going to love Prince. And it's not just because he's practically a teddy bear in dog form (though, that in itself is precious enough to love him) or that his little front teeth are all messed up and makes him look silly even when he's trying to be serious. Prince is just a charming little guy. He may take a little bit to warm up to you but in no time at all he'll be sleeping beneath your desk as you work and following you around the house like a little shadow. He'll put his big boy bark on when people enter the house but you'll be greeted with tail wags and love. He's all of 12 lbs and 13 years; small, sweet, and old is just a wonderful combo. Prince came in with his little family - his son, Grizzly, and Grizzly's mother, Bella Marie. Though he would love to find a home with them by his side he is not so attached that he would be distressed to go home alone.
Prince would benefit from a dental surgery on the near future and continued vet care as usual for a senior dog.

Their adoption process

Additional adoption info

The first step in our adoption process is to submit an adopter profile through our website. We then encourage you to visit PARL at 34 Elbow Street and get to know the animals we have available. You do not need an appointment, and we invite you to visit us often. PARL’s goal is to assist you in finding your best match for a lifelong companion.

When you arrive, you’ll sign PARL’s visitor log, and staff will direct you to PARL’s cat rooms, small animal spaces, or dog kennels (depending on your preference.) We encourage you to spend time outside with the dogs, or petting our cats and small animals. Please ask questions -- that's why we're here.

If you don't find what you are looking for the first time, please come see us again! Chances are that we will have some new furry friends available for adoption, and one of them might be purr-fect for you!
