My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hello there, I'm Otis! I'm a young chap full of energy and love. My days are spent playing with toys, exploring my surroundings, and finding the perfect spot for a catnap. I'm quite friendly and love to make new friends. I'm always up for a game of chase-the-laser or a good old-fashioned cuddle session. When I'm not playing, I'm usually found purring contentedly in someone's lap. I'm not just a bundle of energy, though. I'm also incredibly sweet and affectionate. I love nothing more than curling up with a good friend for a snuggle. I'm also quite sociable and love meeting new people. I'm looking for a forever home where I can share all my love and energy. If you're looking for a playful, friendly, and cuddly companion, then I'm your cat! I promise to bring joy and laughter into your life every single day. So, why wait? Adopt me and let's start our wonderful journey together!

More about this shelter

Founded in 1971 as the Animal Aid Society of Englewood, Suncoast Humane Society began with a few cages where people left stray animals to be cared for. Over the years, our service area has grown to include over 400 square miles, covering three counties: Sarasota, Charlotte and portions of Lee.
Suncoast Humane Society provides a safe refuge for thousands of lost, abandoned and abused animals from our service area each year. We are committed to our open-door policy of never turning any animal away, regardless of health, temperament, breed or circumstances.
