My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Tonka is a gorgeous Australian shepherd puppy who is a great mix of playfulness and chill. He’s relatively calm for an Aussie and is cuddly, loving to spend time with his humans. Tonka has a blast running around in the yard and playing with toys.

Tonka is working on crate training and has been fantastic with potty training. He’s figuring out how to walk on a leash. He’s working on “sit” and “come” and we think this bright boy will learn a lot quickly.

Tonka is a little shy with new dogs but warms up in no time. He would love a physical, fenced yard to explore and someone home most of the time. Extra points if you have herding dog experience and understand the way these dogs think and play. He’d very much like a friendly dog buddy.

Tonka is being fostered in the St. Louis area.

The first step in adoption will be to fill out an application. Once the application is approved, we will contact you. We may also request a home visit which will be done by one of our volunteers. Our goal is to not only find our pups a safe home but ensure it is a good match for the adopter and the pup.

Our adoption donation fee is $300.00. This includes the spay/neuter and the pup being current on vaccinations, heartworm and flea/tick preventatives, and microchipped.
