This helps Speak! Rescue and Sanctuary with pet care costs.
Tod is a total love bug. This 1-year-old cattle dog constantly looks for affection and is happy to have pets and cuddles, hugs and kisses. He is constantly on the move and loves to play – either by himself or with toys or with his canine foster brother. He’s very good at fetch and is incredibly smart. He could do well with agility, dog sports, or just the fun of an active family that will take him out and about on adventures.
Tod is deaf and is learning hand signals. He knows “sit” and “down” and is working on “stay” and “shake.” He is very tuned in to his person and pays attention. He’s so smart and very eager to please. Tod walks really well on a leash, is great in his crate, and is potty trained.
Tod would thrive in a home where someone is experienced with the brains and energy level of herding dogs. He needs an active family, a physical, fenced yard, and someone who is around much of the day. He could be an only dog but would love another energetic dog who loves to wrestle and play.
Tod is very polite with his things and is happy to share. He has absolutely no concept of personal space and wants to be next to you, cuddling or sitting on your lap. He is the sweetest boy and just wants to be loved. Tod is being fostered in the St. Louis area.
