My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Lydie, a gentle soul with a heart full of love. She`s an adult dog, who`s as sweet as they come. She`s a little shy at first, but once she gets to know you, she`ll shower you with affection. Lydie is a perfect companion for those quiet evenings at home, where she`ll sit by your side, offering comfort and companionship. She`s also a great listener, always there to lend a sympathetic ear. Despite her shy demeanor, Lydie is full of potential. She`s just waiting for the right person to help her come out of her shell. Adopting Lydie means gaining a loyal friend who will love you unconditionally. Give Lydie the chance to show you what true friendship looks like.

More about this shelter

We are an open admissions shelter, meaning we take in homeless animals regardless of age, breed, health, temperament or lack of space. On average, we take in about 5,500 stray, surrendered and abandoned animals per year including dogs, cats, small mammals, birds and reptiles. We provide adoption services to find safe, happy homes for these pets; and also provide low-cost vaccination and microchip clinics to help safeguard them against illness or being lost forever.
