Check out our sister brand, Kinship, for vet chat, a nutrition calculator, basic obedience training, and (much) more. So you're never flying solo in this pet parenting thing.
Basil is a cute, 4-year-old tabby girl with lovely gray coloring and a cute, pale pink-orange nose. She was surrendered to HART this past Spring when her former guardian unfortunately could no longer provide the care she needed. When she arrived, she was experiencing significant fur loss as well as chronic vomiting and GI issues, which our Medical Team determined were caused by severe food allergies. Now that Basil is on medications and an appropriate diet, she is doing much better and becoming the outgoing, playful cat she wants to be (Ideally, she would be fed a prescription diet for her allergies but at HART, due to costs, we are unable to feed the prescription diet to an entire room.) Basil would do best in a calm, cat-savvy home with an adopter who is experienced with giving oral medications and who has an established relationship with a veterinarian. She gets along with the other cats in her room, and we believe she would do fine with older children and laid-back dogs. Our Adoption Team will review her specific health care needs with you prior to adoption. Meet Basil in Room 1.
